Holistic Doula
A hand to hold in your motherhood journey
Support and care for the whole woman during pregnancy, childbirth, and the sacred postpartum window.
As someone who experienced the journey of pregnancy with the assistance of a doula in Portugal in 2021, I can honestly say that I couldn't imagine it any other way.
From understanding the physical changes of pregnancy to creating a birth plan, receiving guidance and support during labor, and even help with bureaucratic documents, I felt fully supported in a unique and comprehensive way.
A doula brings a wealth of professional, emotional, and practical expertise that complements the role of your partner beautifully.
Pregnancy is a truly special time, and having a doula by your side can provide invaluable emotional, logistical, and practical support.
Whether you are planning to have a child, are pregnant, or have already given birth, let's make this journey as special and beautiful as possible.
Delight in the slowness of this special time
I embrace Ayurvedic concepts and nutritional options to support the well-being of both your mind, body, and soul, individually and as the
mother-baby dyad.
Together, we can achieve the ideal birth—one where you feel respected, heard, and consulted at every
step of the way.

Postpartum
Pregnancy and Childbirth
The Sacred Window, an ancient Ayurvedic tradition, begins after pregnancy or the birth of a baby and lasts for 42 days or until the baby is three months old. How we care for our mind, body, and spirit during this time will have a profound impact on our health for the next 42 years. This 6-week period is crucial for our overall well-being and can be nurtured through Ayurvedic practices.
Postpartum - Re-membering components
of care for the Mother
As a pregnancy and childbirth doula, my work encompasses various aspects. We will have regular visits to build a close and trusting relationship, where I will introduce massage and movement techniques for both you and your partner.
I will provide follow-up support for appointments and exams, assist in developing your birth plan, and gather valuable information on pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.
I believe in inclusivity, and I will ensure the involvement of other siblings in the pregnancy and birth process. I will be present at the birth itself, and following that, I will offer two postpartum visits.
Additionally, I am always available by phone, and from 38 weeks onward, I will enter my on-call period, ready to come to you when labor begins.
During this puerperium period, when your organs are literally moving back to where they were before you became pregnant, my role as a postpartum doula is to provide practical and emotional support to the entire family, with a particular emphasis on the well-being of the postpartum woman. I adapt to your family's needs, creating a peaceful environment where you can establish a new routine with your baby.
As a postpartum doula, I understand the importance of providing comprehensive support during this often overlooked phase of motherhood. Just as planning and supporting pregnancy and childbirth are essential, the postpartum period deserves equal attention. It is a transformative time, and having a doula by your side can ensure a smoother and happier transition for the entire family as you welcome your new addition. Beyond breastfeeding support, I focus on helping women integrate their childbirth experiences and address postpartum symptoms and fatigue. Recognizing that the mother deserves care and support during this vulnerable stage, I prioritize "mothering the mother."
My services include assistance with household tasks, meals, feeding (breast/bottle) support, care for siblings, emotional support for integrating the birth experience, and rejuvenating Ayurvedic massages for both mother and baby.
Let's sit down together for a chat before your baby arrives.
During this time, I will listen attentively to your concerns, needs, and goals. Together, we will create a soothing and healing regimen that addresses your physical, emotional, and nutritional needs, as well as those of your baby. We will explore Ayurvedic-infused meals, snacks, and teas to reduce depression, anxiety, and fatigue. Additionally, I will guide you in incorporating relaxing warm oil body treatments, healing herbal baths, and a comforting self-care routine into your postpartum journey.
